Rovio to launch Angry Birds Heikki on June 18

Rovio is teasing a new Angry Birds game, Angry Birds Heikki, which is scheduled to be released on June 18. The teaser image shows the refection of a race track in the bird’s eye. It isn’t difficult to put two and two together, considering Rovio is also a sponsor for Finnish F1 driver, Heikki Kovalainen who also wears an Angry Birds branded helmet.
However, what remains to be seen is how exactly Rovio will plant Angry Birds and the greedy pigs on an F1 race track. Will the pigs be driving F1 cars and the birds having to somehow hit them? We don’t know.
Rovio recently announced the original Angry Birds game had been downloaded over a billion times and also hinted it might be looking at going public with an IPO soon. The last variant of Angry Birds called Angry Birds Space was downloaded 10 million times in three days. The franchise has been so popular that Rovio has plans to open Angry Birds theme parks in different countries.
