G-Five launches five budget Android smartphones in India

Chinese smartphone maker G-Five, today, unveiled a number of Android powered smartphones in the country for consumers on a tight budget. The models in question include the A79, A86, I88+, G95 and the G3D. All the devices are priced between the range of Rs 7,000 to Rs 12,000.
The A79 for starters features a 4-inch display with a HVGA (320×480 pixels) resolution, a 5-megapixel camera, an 1850 mAh battery, 832MHz processor and runs on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. The device costs Rs 6,999.
The A86 is a more powerful device, albeit by a smidgen. It rocks a 4-inch display with a WVGA (480×800 pixels) resolution, an 8-megapixel camera, and a 0.3- megapixel front facing camera, a 1GHz processor, a massive 2800 mAh battery and it will run on Android 2.3 Gingerbread. Priced at Rs 7,999, it will compete with the likes of the Micromax Superfone Infinity, which also sports a similarly large battery.
The I88+ steps up the game further when compared to the A86 as it features a slightly larger 4.3-inch display with a WVGA resolution, but at the same time it also rocks a 1GHz high performance processor, which we believe could be jargon for a newer generation chipset and will also have 4GB of memory and 512MB of DDR2 RAM. Additionally, it will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and is priced at just Rs 8,899.
The G95 takes G-Five’s product portfolio into the ‘Phablet’ category dominated by the Samsung Galaxy Note, however the gulf in the pricing of both products is like chalk and cheese. The device sports a huge 5.3-inch display, however the resolution remains a lowly WVGA. Apart from this, the specs remain more or less the same when compared to the I88+. This device will also run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and will cost Rs 9,499.  That said, the device becomes perhaps the cheapest Android device with a 5+ inch display.
Lastly, the G3D is the most high tech device and it features a 4.3-inch glass free 3D display, which also rocks a qHD resolution. But other than this, it also maintains the same specs as the G95 and the I88+, however it additionally features a HDMI out as well. This makes the G3D the cheapest device to flaunt a glassless 3D display at Rs 11,799.
