Samsung launches the Omina M Windows Phone

Samsung has launched the Omina M, which runs Windows Phone 7.5 Mango. The device is powered by a 1GHz Snapdragon processor and features a 4-inch Super AMOLED display with a resolution of 800×480 pixels. Other features include a 5-Megapixel camera with 720p video capabilities, 1500 mAh battery, 384 MB of RAM, a front facing camera and 4GB of internal memory.
On the software front, Samsung preloads the device with its ChatOn messenger, Family story which is a cloud-based family network, Samsung AllShare to share content and its Music Hub with a Smart DJ feature.  The device also integrates Samsung’s a video call feature.
As always with Windows Phone devices the device will get a mobile version of Microsoft Office and Microsoft SkyDrive Cloud storage totaling up to 25 GB.
When one compares the Omina M with the Omnia W, surprisingly, the specs on the Omnia M turn out to be pretty underwhelming as the Omina W has a slightly faster 1.4GHz processor, more RAM and more onboard storage at 8GB. On the brighter side, the Omnia M has a larger display than the Omnia W’s 3.7 Super AMOLED panel, but that also means in terms of pixel density the Omnia M falls behind the Omnia W.
As of now the device will hit Europe and no Indian release date has been announced but we can expect the device to hit India. Samsung is also yet to announce the price but we can expect it to be priced below Rs 15,000. In the meanwhile, check out some of the specs below.
