Acer announces S7 series of Ultrabooks with 11.6-Inch and 13.3-Inch touchscreens

Apart from its Windows 8 tablets, Acer has unveiled two new Windows 8 UltraBooks as a part of a new S7 series. The two new models come in 11.6-inch and 13.3-inch displays which also flaunt touch screens. Both devices feature 12.5mm thick unibody designs with the 13.3-inch model featuring a glass top similar to the HP Envy Spectre. Notably, Acer has decided go all out with Full HD displays so both the Ultrabooks feature 1080p resolutions.
A new innovation Acer brings to the table to reduce over heating issues is its Twin Air cooling system. Other than this, we get backlit chiclet keyboards, Thunderbolt connectivity and solid battery life rated up to 9 hours for the 11.6-inch model and 12 hours for the 13.3-inch model.
Interestingly, both the devices have displays that can be recessed up to 180 degrees to utilize the touchscreen, but bewilderingly the display does not fold up like on the Lenovo ThinkPad Yoga.  We don’t have any information regarding any processor information, but we are pretty sure we will find an Intel Ivy Bridge chipset inside perhaps a core i5 one.
