A behind the scenes look at Google’s Jelly Bean statue

Earlier in the day Google installed a Jelly Bean statue outside the GooglePlex signaling the launch of the next version of Android which is due for launch in the new few hours. TechCrunch went behind the scenes and interviewed Giovanni Calabrese of Themendous, who was responsible for creating the acrylic Jelly Beans in the Google statue.
According to him, the statue contains over 180 Jelly Beans and each and every bean took more than six minutes to build minus the painting. He also revealed that Google was involved with the whole creative process and the project took a week before the beans were shipped to Google HQ. Head over to the source link for a detailed video interview of Giovanni Calabrese.
