Microsoft may add a new Arc soft keyboard in Windows Phone 8: Report

For some time there have been reports regarding Microsoft adding a new type of a keyboard for Windows Phone 8, which will be tailored especially for single handed thumb usage. Now the folks at Wmpoweruser are reporting that they have obtained screenshots of the keyboard, known as the Arc Soft Keyboard from a Microsoft Research presentation.
The keyboard on the face of it seems to have been designed for one-handed thumb typing without having to look and it features several keys grouped together, leveraging disambiguation to decide what word is being typed.
From the image posted it looks like the keyboard is being demoed on a HTC Trophy, which could also mean that this keyboard could perhaps also come in the Windows Phone 7.8 update for the current crop of Windows Phone devices.
