The Galaxy Note II is expected to feature a 5.5-inch display with a retina busting 1680×1050 pixel resolution or a pixel density of 360ppi. Other rumored features include 1.5GB of RAM, a dual-core Exynos 5250 processor, which is based on ARM 15 architecture and the same 8-megapixel camera as the one found on the Samsung Galaxy S III.
The Galaxy Note has received unexpected success for Samsung as it shipped five million units in less than five months. Most reviewers had written off the “phablet” owing to its size, yet it seems to have caught the fancy of consumers. In all probability, the Galaxy Note II will be more of a hardware update rather than a design update and would have software similar to that found on the Galaxy S III, the only addition being the S-Pen input.
