Its very hard to decipher the UI tweaks, but from what we can gather, there definitely is a new stock wallpaper and a slightly tweaked Google Search bar. No timeframe on the update has been posted, though we can expect to hear about it soon at Google I/O starting June 27, where Google is expected to launch its Nexus Tablet with Asus running on Jelly Bean.
However, what remains to be seen is how soon this new version of Android trickles down to existing Android smartphones and tablets considering less than 10 percent of Android devices are running the current version called Ice Cream Sandwich. Google had introduced Ice Cream Sandwich late last year along with the Galaxy Nexus. Also, considering that the version has been increased only to 4.1 from 4.0, we do not expect it to be a massive upgrade from Ice Cream Sandwich.
i thought jellybean was suppose to be 5.0. also this would be a good time to have google make modifications to stop apple copywrite problems and put the changes into jellybean and transmit it to all android phones. we need to blow apple away. i hate apple. they are after all companies stating that they are using their software. this crappy company does not even use american workers to make their products, they are made in china by over 230,000 employees. the us should ban and boycott all apple products. steve jobs told obama he would not get relected because he was not a corporate president and did not want work done overseas. i think that is why the usa and the world is in such financial problems. jobs are moved to india, caman islands and other places. thanks to apple and companies that deal this way. if you want the 2013 resession keep buying apple and supporting these practices.
