According to the report, Tim Cook and Larry Page have been having direct phone conversations, to resolve the issues. Reportedly, they are scheduled to communicate again, even though no agreement has been reached yet.
Notably, the last time both Apple and Google CEOs met was in 2010, and the participants were the late-Steve Jobs and current Google executive chairman Eric Schmidt. Last time around the results were far from positive as the meeting ended up in a dead-lock. Hopefully, this time around common sense prevails and an agreement is reached because the result of the Samsung trail has the potential to have incredible ripple effects through out the Android ecosystem, to the detriment of some of the smaller OEMs.
