Powered by Android 4.0.3 Ice Cream Sandwich, the MagiQ runs on a 1GHz single-core processor, 512 MB of RAM, 4GB of internal storage, a microSD card slot that supports up to 32GB of storage, dual-SIM capabilities and a 5-inch capacitive multi-touch display. Notably, it has a 12-megapixel rear camera and a front facing camera for video chats.
As far connectivity options are concerned, the hybrid offers 3G, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Kobian is claiming strong battery life with 15 days of standby time and 13 hours of talk time. Additionally, the MagiQ sports a plethora of ports including mini-USB, 3.5mm audio, and a microSD card slot.
The Mercury MagiQ will have stiff competition from the Micromax Canvas A100, which also sports a similar feature set and form factor but is available at Rs 9,990 and Micromax claims it runs on a 1GHz dual-core Qualcomm processor. In terms of pure specs, the only thing going for the MagiQ is its 12-megapixel rear camera, but then again we know a higher megapixel count does not necessarily mean a better camera.
