everyone wants to join the gravy-train and The Verge is reporting that HTC is planning a 5-inch hybrid device that will also come with a 1080p display with a resolution of 1794×1080 pixels.
According to the report the device is being made for the US based carrier Verizon and it will also incorporate a Beats Audio branding, Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 SoC and it will run Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with HTC Sense running on top.
HTC is yet to announce the device, and it is not hard to believe that HTC is planning a similar device considering the success of the Galaxy Note. While, Samsung is unable to produce high resolution Super AMOLED displays, due to technological limitations, it is not far fetched that HTC could produce a device with a 1080p display if it sticks with S-LCD technology.
