Madame Tussauds Hong Kong to unveil Steve Jobs wax figure

Madame Tussauds in Hong Kong is all set to unveil a Steve Jobs wax figure on September 27, just a week before his first death anniversary.
The wax figure features the signature clothing attire of the late Apple co-founder and CEO.
It features his black turtle neck, Levi 501 jeans and New Balance trainers. The pose has been inspired from the famous 2006 Fortune magazine cover shoot that was shot by Albert Watson. The very same image was also used by Apple on its homepage, when he died. It is said, that particular photo was Jobs’ favorite.
Apart from the attire and pose, the team at Madame Tussauds has also replicated his custom-made Lunor spectacles.
It is quite ironic that the wax figure of Steve Jobs features minimal use of technology and the sculptors have used the same tools and techniques used by Madame Tussaud over two hundred years ago. The figure itself costs HK$ 1,500,000 (Rs 1,05,02,715) and a team of sculptors, hair and color artists have worked on it for over three months.
The figure will remain at the Historical and National heroes attractions of Madame Tussauds Hong Kong between 27 September and November 26, before traveling to Madame Tussauds in Bangkok and then to Madame Tussauds in Shanghai.
