Earlier this year rumors suggested that Samsung will launch a new version of the Galaxy Tab powered by a Exynos 5 chip which will be made on the ARM Cortex A15 design.
Samsung had demoed a similar chipset but since then there has been no word on any device running on it. That said, it appears that a prototype Samsung device running on the Exynos 5 appeared on BrowserMark benchmark.
The Exynos 5 has dual-core processors clocked at 1.7GHz and combines a Mali-T604 GPU which really makes it a gaming powerhouse. The chip can boost resolutions of games to 1280×752 pixels.
Apart from this, the device has also been spotted running the Annotate benchmark. What needs to be seen is whether Samsung has one more update for the Galaxy S III lined up for Holiday season this year or whether this is the rumoured Galaxy S IV, which is supposedly scheduled for early next year.
