Intel CEO says Microsoft is pushing Windows 8 before it’s ready: Bloomberg

Microsoft is just about a month away from what some may call the biggest launch in the company’s history. Microsoft has re-imagined Windows with Windows 8, it is even adopting ARM chipsets, and  it is even releasing its first hardware products that will compete with its partners. But it looks like,
all is not hunky-dory in Microsoft land. Intel CEO Paul Otellini told employees in Taiwan that Microsoft is actually releasing Windows 8 before it is actually finished according to a report by Bloomberg.
According to the story, Microsoft is still ironing out bugs and Intel believes that it is a correct move on Microsoft’s part to ship the OS before it is ready as most of these issues can be sorted out via updates.
While there has been zero talk about the ‘so-called’ bugs in Windows 8, it is conceivable that Microsoft might be grappling with some driver compatibility related issues. If one remembers correctly, Microsoft faced similar hardship when it released Windows Vista, which by all accounts ended up being critically panned. Apart from these issues, we don’t see any major changes coming in and in our experience the user experience remains very stable even at the Release Preview stage.
