of the heels of the newly launched Xperia NXT series of smartphone,
Sony mobile has just announced two new Xperia smartphones – The Go and
the Xperia Acro S. Sony is saying both these devices will ship globally
in Q3 of 2012.The Xperia Go features a 3.5-inch water resistant display which will be made up of scratch proof mineral glass with wet finger tracking. The device is powered by a 1GHz dual-core processor and has a 5-megapixel camera. Unfortunately the device will ship with Android 2.3 gingerbread.
The
Xperia Acro S on the other hand is a more premium device. It will
features a 4.3-inch display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and is
powered by a 1.5GHz dual core processor. This device is also water
resistant like the Xperia Go but features a lower IP55 rating. The
device also has a 12-megapixel camera with 1080p video capture and is
PlayStation Suite certified. Thankfully, this device will ship with
Android 4.0 ICS.
