Starting with the Transformer Book, Asus has basically created something similar to its Transformer Prime Android tablet, but of course for Windows 8 running Intel’s third generation Core i7 Ivy Bridge silicon, a combination of SSD plus HDD storage, 4GB of dual channel DDR3 RAM and USB 3.0. Apart from this, the Transformer Book features Sonic Master tech for improved sound quality, dual cameras including a HD Front Facing camera and a 5-megapixel rear camera. As is the case with Transformer tablets, one can just remove the keyboard dock to use like standard tablets or use the keyboard for additional connectivity, battery life and of course the comfort of a full QWERTY keyboard.
The other tablet flaunted by Asus at Computex is the Tablet 600 which runs Windows RT and is powered by the ARM based quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 chip. Besides this, it has 2GB of RAM, a 10.1-inch display with resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels and IPS+ technology, a 8-megapixel rear camera and 2-megapixel front facing camera. Other specs include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and your usual array of sensors, including GPS, a gyroscope, e-compass and, NFC.
Like the Transformer Prime and the above mentioned Transformer Book it also features a detachable dock which adds a full QWERTY keyboard with another battery and extra connectivity ports.
