New MacPro and MacBook Pro specs leaked ahead of WWDC

With Apple’s annual developer conference WWDC just 4 hours away, the guys at 9to5 Mac have received some substantial information regarding the new MacPro and MacBook Pro upgrades. In fact, the report also confirms that for the first time in two years Apple will unveil a new MacPro.
According to the report, there will be three standard configurations of the MacPro apart from the built-to-order variants. There will be one model with a 3.2GHz Quad-Core CPU, 6GB of RAM, a 1TB hard drive, and a AMD Radeon 5770 Graphics Chip. The other model will involve the use of 2.4GHz CPU with a whopping 12-cores, 12GB of RAM, a 1TB hard drive and the same AMD Radeon HD 5770 GPU. The server configuration of the model will feature a 3.2GHz quad-core CPU, 8GB of RAM, and twin 1TB hard drives.
Besides this, Apple’s iconic MacBook Pro is being also upgraded. The report states that Apple will release two versions of the MacBook Pro, one with a thinner frame minus the optical drive but with a Retina Display and a version which maintains the current design but with upgraded Intel Ivy Bridge Silicon.
The upgraded MacBook Pros that retain the current design will feature come in both 13.3-inch and 15.4-inch models. The base 13.3-inch model will feature a dual-core Ivy Bridge CPU clocked at 2.5GHz along with 4GB of RAM and a 500GB hard drive. There will be higher end version of the 13.3-inch model which will retain the same CPU but with a higher clock speed of 2.9GHz, and will get 8GB of RAM and a 750GB hard drive.
The 15.4-inch will feature a quad-core Ivy Bridge CPU clocked 2.3GHz and will feature 4GB of RAM and 500GB of memory. Additionally, the higher-end variant of the 15.4-inch model will have a quad-core Ivy Bridge processor clocked at 2.6GHz along with 8GB of RAM and a 750GB HDD. Apple will reportedly also offer the option to upgrade to a 1TB hard drive and a 2.7GHz quad-core CPU.
Apple will not only stop here, and will perhaps also release a new AirPort Express router, and will rebrand the MacBook Air Super drive to USB Super Drive to incorporate the new optical drive less MacBook Pros. Apple might also introduce a new MagSafe connector and adaptor for older hardware and will also release a thunderbolt to ethernet adaptor.
