Twitter airs first TV ad, introduces hashtag page

Twitter has aired its first television ad during the NASCAR Ponoco 400 race. The ad featured Brad Keselowski who used his phone to share Nascar related tweets. The ads promote Twitter’s new hashtag pages, TNW reports.
According to the report, the ad is the first of its kind as it promotes a singular URL – www.twitter.com/#nascar, which automatically redirects to www.twitter.com/hashtag/nascar. This new page is a branded Nascar page which provides a stream of information related to the sport, the race in question and people related to the sport.  These new ads are a part of a new partnership between Nascar and Twitter which was announced last week by Omid Ashtari of Twitter’s Sports & Entertainment Team.
