Nokia to announce two Window Phone 8 smartphones on September 5: Report

Nokia could announce two Windows Phone 8 devices at its annual Nokia World event on September 5. We have been hearing about Nokia’s upcoming Windows Phone 8 smartphones for a while now and Chinese website WPDang is claiming the first devices could be the Lumia 910 and Lumia 920.
Some of these purported Nokia Windows Phone 8 devices were leaked via a Nokia developer tool which also included a device by the codename of ‘Juggernaut Alpha’. The report states that the Lumia 920 could be the ‘Juggernaut Apha’.
Microsoft has not revealed all features of Windows Phone 8 and could use Nokia World as a platform to show off the core features. Nokia is Microsoft’s preferred partner for Windows Phone and this would only cement ties between the two companies. Nokia’s smartphone sales are expected to go down in the current quarter as Microsoft announced Windows Phone 8 won’t run on existing smartphones that include Nokia’s Lumia devices. Nokia CEO Stephen Elop mentioned during the recent earnings call that Nokia would launch the first wave of Windows Phone 8 devices.
With no hardware limitations in Windows Phone 8, Nokia is expected to do wonders with its next generation Lumia smartphones. The Finnish handset vendor has been quite vocal about design lately and is also said to be preparing a Lumia smartphone equipped with its PureView camera technology.
