The iOS app is an universal app and it works both on the iPhone and the iPad. While doing so, the app provides the same set of features as Safari on iOS, with the exception of it having a new type of user interface which puts search at the forefront. Notably, the app is powered by the webkit engine developed by Apple for Safari. Interestingly, Google too updated it’s Google Search app for iOS today, which also brings many visual and functional improvements to the app.
While app is available as a free download, we are yet to see it on the Indian App Store, which basically means anyone with an Indian account cannot download the app as of now. We shall update the post as soon as the app is available in India.
