The device features a 10.1-inch display with a resolution of 1366×768 pixels, a 1.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 dual-core processor, 2GB of RAM, a 8,200 mAh battery and will be offered in 32GB and 64GB storage options. It also has 5.0-megapixel rear camera and a 1.9-megapixel front facing camera.
Samsung says at its thickest point it is only 9.9mm thick and weighs 570 grams. Other frills offered in the tablet include, NFC, Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, microSD, u-HDMI and USB 2.0 connectivity. Additionally, it also comes pre-loaded with a version of Microsoft Office 13 Home and Student version. Design wise, it quite similar to the Galaxy Note 10.1 and uses similar materials in its construction, but comes sans the S-Pen stylus seen on Samsung’s Android based Note 10.1.
Currently, there is no word on pricing and release, but it is quite conceivable that it will be available on October 26, when Microsoft officially launches Windows 8 and Windows RT, along side its own Surface tablets.
