DataWind has started supplying the Aakash 2 to IIT Bombay reports The Press Trust of India.
Additionally, the report also states that, the low-cost tablet is on-course to being released in October.
DataWind CEO Suneet Singh Tuli told PTI that it should be launched in the next few weeks, and did reveal that HRD Minister Kapil Sibal wanted an October 5 launch on the one year anniversary of the Aakash tablet.
The supplies to IIT Bombay have been going on for the last one and a half months. Aakash 2 is being billed as a much faster tablet with a capacitive display, a three hour battery backup and many new features.
