For those who don’t know, the Galaxy Player line of products compete with the Apple iPod Touch and the Sony Walkman players. The new Galaxy Player 5.8 has a 5.8-inch display with a resolution of 960×540 pixels, 1GB of RAM, 16/32 GB memory options, a microSD card slot, a VGA front facing camera and a large 2,500 mAh battery. Other features include Wi-Fi connectivity, Bluetooth and the multimedia player will run on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich with a topping of Samsung’s TouchWiz Nature UX.
Samsung is not even talking about the processor leave alone the pricing of the device. Perhaps, the company plans on unveiling it along with the rumored Galaxy Note II that will be launched at a special ‘Mobile Unpacked event’.
Samsung is also yet to announce where all it will launch the product, but chances are it may not come to India.
