LG’s purported Optimus G images leak

With IFA only days away, LG and Qualcomm have been aggressively marketing the Optimus G and the Snapdragon S4 Pro chipset. This only increased our appetite for the device, and it looks like the folks at AndroidMx.net have heard our pleas and have posted a few images of an LG device that they claim to be the Optimus G.
There are three leaked images in total and the industrial design is very reminiscent of the LG Optimus 4X HD. More importantly, there is also a screenshot of OpenGL benchmark which more or less confirms the rumored specs.
The superphone is powered by a quad-core Qualcomm-Snapdragon S4 Pro clocked at 1.5GHz, 2GB of RAM, a 4.7-inch IPS HD display with a resolution of 1280×768, totaling to 320 ppi. Notably, LG is said to be using a new display and battery technology that improves battery life and makes the display panel as vivid as an AMOLED panel without the burning side-effect of the latter. Alongside this the device will also have a 13-megapixel camera.
While the version of Android was not specified in the report, it was said that LG was working on the final build of the software that might even include last moment bump to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.  LG in all probability will unveil the device later this week at IFA Berlin.
