Samsung could launch Galaxy Note 10.1 in India on August 24

Samsung could launch its latest Android tablet, the Galaxy Note 10.1, in India on August 24. The company’s online store had first indicated the launch date and Samsung is indeed holding a press conference in New Delhi on the same day. Samsung started releasing the Galaxy Note 10.1 globally earlier this month and is already up for pre-order online for an advance payment of Rs 2,000. Its retail price is currently not known but we expect it to be priced close to that of the 16GB Wi-Fi only variant of the new iPad as it is available in the US for $499.
Samsung is trying to differentiate the Galaxy Note 10.1 from other tablets by bringing a new multitasking UI that enables users to snap multiple apps on the screen and work on them simultaneously. It also has the S-Pen stylus interface, which was first introduced in the Galaxy Note phablet.
On the specs front, the Galaxy Note 10.1 sports a 1.4GHz quad-core processor, 2GB RAM, 5-megapixel rear and 1.9-megapixel front cameras and the usual connectivity options. It would come with 16GB of internal storage with a microSD card slot that can accommodate up to 64GB memory cards.
