Asus is reportedly planning to launch the Nexus 7 tablet in India in the month of November. The Next Web which reported the story quotes blogger RajuPP who was attending an event in Bangalore for the launch of the Asus PadFone, tweeted the announcement. The company reportedly plans on announcing pricing for the tablet next month.
After the unprecedented success of the tablet, Asus only recently launched the tablet in France, Germany and Spain. Before this the tablet was only available in the US, UK and Australia.
Originally, the Nexus 7 was launched at Google I/O in June as the flagship Android 4.1 Jelly Bean device at a base price of $199 for the 8GB model. The 16GB model costs an extra $50.
The 7-inch tablet boasts a formidable feature set which includes a 7-inch IPS display with a resolution 1280×800 pixels, 1GB of RAM, and a 1.3GHz quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor.
Previously a Times of India report had stated that the Nexus 7 will launch in October, but now this seems to have changed. Perhaps, Asus is gunning for Diwali festival season in November.
