Exclusive: LG’s Nexus phone coming to India in the next few weeks

A lot has been written about Google’s next Nexus smartphone. Heck, it has even received a review treatment. According to reports in the press the phone is being made by LG,
but till today LG stayed mum. Today at the LG Optimus Vu launch in India an LG Official confirmed to BGR India that the LG Nexus phone would be launching in India in the next few weeks.
The LG Official told us that the Optimus G would only launch in early 2013, but added that before the Optimus G it is launching a Google Nexus phone in India, which will launch in the next few weeks.
The official did not reveal the name of the device, but we are pretty confident that it would be the Nexus 4, considering that Google used the Nexus 7 nomenclature for the Asus Nexus tablet. Additionally, it also happens that this will be actually the fourth iteration of a Google Nexus phone, after the original HTC made Nexus One and the Samsung made Nexus S and Galaxy Nexus.
It’s worth noting this will be the second Nexus that smartphone that will see an official India release. The Nexus One and the Galaxy Nexus never saw an India launch, however Samsung did launch the Nexus S in India in April 2011.
