Halo 4 for the Xbox 360 has been released in India and it is available for Rs 3,299 for the standard edition and Rs 4,599 for the limited edition. Halo 4 is perhaps the biggest Xbox 360 exclusive and is amongst the most highly awaited games
of the year.
Published by Microsoft studios, Halo 4 takes the Master Chief, the protagonist of the franchise, up against a new ancient evil and a deadly class of technologically advanced enemies called the Prometheans. Microsoft says Halo 4 is emotionally a more personal affair for the Master Chief and overall the mood and plot is much darker than its predecessors.
Apart from the single player element, the franchise has always been known for its Multiplayer gameplay. Halo 4 builds upon the foundations of Halo 3 with a gamut of new features that include War games which takes place on the Spartan training ship Infinity and ties into the single-player plot, a new map builder that has been enhanced from Halo 3, and a downloadable Spartan OPS mode.
The Spartan OPS mode has been designed to enhance the longevity of the game. In this mode four players can play through the episodes based on the Spartan Soldiers on board the Infinity and fight the Prometheans. Microsoft will offer a new episode every week for download.
To put it simply, Halo 4 is the most anticipated FPS of the year. The franchise is also one of the strongest reasons Microsoft is still doing very well with its ageing Xbox 360 console. Online reviews have already proclaimed Halo 4 to be the best the franchise has ever produced, so we’d reckon it is a worth taking a look at especially for FPS gamers.
