Jolla Mobile is perhaps the hottest new start-up in the mobile phone industry. Their claim to fame is that company is made up of ex-Nokia employees who worked in developing the critically acclaimed MeeGo OS.
Ever since, the establishment of the new company, the hope has been that the company would reignite the delightful ‘Swipe UI’ seen in MeeGo. Jolla has announced that it will showcase the user interface, SDK and developer ecosystem for the new OS at the Slush event to be held in Finland between November 21-22.
Jolla will publish more information about the devices later in the year. It has stated that it will host in-depth Q&A sessions and the Jolla UI will be incorporated into the previously announced Sailfish alliance software. Jolla says that it has been working on developing an OS that is scalable across a range of devices born in different price brackets and it will be based on MeeGo.
