LG Nexus 4 to be launched on October 29 says French Newspaper

Over the last week we have seen a deluge of leaks that point towards a LG branded Nexus smartphone that will be based on LG’s current flagship – the Optimus G. The news is getting so heated that recent reports also have a name for the device – the LG Nexus 4.
Now, this is just the tip of the ice-berg because French newspaper Le Figaro claims that Google and LG will launch the smartphone on October 29, the very same day when Microsoft plans on unveiling its Windows Phone 8 OS and hardware based using it. Additionally, the report says that the device will see a mid-November launch in the US and will hit French shores in December.
The October 29 date is not entirely new because Android and Me claimed last week that it heard that Andy Rubin would make some kind of an announcement regarding Google’s Nexus program at the AllThingsD: Dive Into Mobile conference. This is interesting because, Google has a history of making Android related announcements at the DConference as it did so last year with the Galaxy Nexus and Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and the year before that when it showed off the Motorola Xoom tablet and Android 3.0 Honeycomb.
In the lead up to this, we have seen all kinds of leaks regarding the mysterious LG Nexus smartphone. We have seen shady images, inventory logs, camera exif data and what not. As far as the specs are concerned because of its rumored Optimus G lineage we can expect a quad-core Snapdargon S4 Pro processor, 2GB of RAM, a 4.7-inch IPS TrueHD in-cell display, and a 2,100-mAh battery developed by LG Chem. As far as the camera and memory options are concerned, rumors suggest a slight variance from the Optimus G spec and the LG Nexus device is expected to only flaunt an 8-megapixel shooter and offer 8 or 16GB of memory options with no microSD card expansion.
