Samsung has started pushing the Android 4.1 Jelly Bean update for the Galaxy S III users in Europe. SamMobile is reporting that users in Poland have started receiving the update to Jelly Bean through the Kies Air desktop software that Samsung provides with the phone.
Apart from this, German site AllAboutSamsung is reporting that even customers in Serbia, Macedonia and Croatia can take advantage of this new Android update.
Samsung had previously stated that the Galaxy S III will receive the update to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean in October, but it looks like the company is rolling out the update slightly ahead of schedule.
The Jelly Bean update will bring forth a myriad of enhancements to the Galaxy S III. Some of these enhancements will include the new Android Voice search capabilities, Google Now, improved system wide frame rate via Project Butter, enhanced notifications, a resizable pop-up play menu, and also a tweaked settings menu.
Considering the roll-out is going live in Europe, we can expect it to be officially available in India in the coming weeks.
