The Pantel Penta T-Pad WS702C has been launched in India for Rs 7,499. It’s a 7-inch Android tablet, which has a multi-touch display with a resolution of 1024×600 pixels, 1GB of RAM, 8GB of internal storage, and a 1.2GHz processor.
Additionally, it has a 2-megapixel rear camera, a VGA front-facing camera and it also supports calls as it has a SIM card slot.
Unfortunately, the SIM card slot does not support 3G data, but one can always hook up a 3G dongle in its USB slot for 3G connectivity. Apart from this, it also supports Wi-Fi networks. Pantel claims that the device can last for up to 6 hours.
As far as the competition is concerned Pantel is definitely up against it. It is not only a new player in the market, but specs wise it seems like an inferior product when one compares it to products offered by the likes of Micromax, Karbonn and Wickedleaks. Micromax in fact offers the Funbook talk also integrates calling capabilities but at a lower price point.
