Evernote launches Android version of its Food app

Evernote has launch a new application for Google’s Android platform called Food, which has been designed to make it easy to save and find every meal that one has and share it with one’s friends and family. It is geared towards creating a social experience for the users regular eating habits.
Food borrows a lot from the Swipe UI introduced in the latest version of Evernote for Android 4.0. It is useful for cataloging recipes as one can tag images with captions and also geo tag them through a mapping integration with FourSquare. Through the FourSquare integration one can even set custom places by adding the location and place and check-in.
Evernote is saying that the Android version of Food has a leg up on its iOS sibling as the app can use Android’s inherent sharing capabilities to share with social apps like Facebook and Twitter.
Using Food, one can even create scrollable Meal Lists by combining all the cataloged meals. These meals can also be searched also. The app can be downloaded for free on the Google Play market.
