Retina-ready apps hit Mac App Store, hint at new MacBooks destined for WWDC

We have been hearing a lot about Retina Display ready MacBook Pro and Air making an appearance at WWDC but this is probably the closest we have come to some sort of a semi-confirmation. Retina-ready apps are making their way on to the Mac App Store, FolderWatch being one of them.
The Next Web first noticed the new addition and it is unlikely for Apple to approve the word “Retina” in the app description unless it is introducing Retina Displays in its Mac line-up. Current rumors point at MacBook Pro 15-inch, MacBook Air 11 and 13-inch are getting upgraded with a slight possibility of the iMac getting a Retina Display too. However, it should be noted that Apple could skip the minimum 300ppi pixel density clause as it could argue the distance between the user’s eye and the display is farther than on an iPhone. The same argument it had in place when it launched the new iPad.
