Recent reports also indicate that carriers around the world are stocking up on Nano-SIMs as the next generation iPhone’s launch looms closer. Additionally, it has also been reported that the iPhone 5 is on track to feature a larger screen with in-cell technology, a quad-core processor, a redesigned case and NFC.
A few months ago we heard that Apple was up in arms against the consortium of Nokia, RIM and Motorola for a new SIM standard in Europe. Nokia and its partners believed they had a superior standard, while Apple tried to bulldoze its own standard. Then a few weeks ago Apple redesigned the SIM to meet Nokia’s approval post which Nokia backed down.
