LG launches the Optimus 4X HD in India for Rs 34,990

LG has finally launched the Optimus 4X HD in India for Rs 34,990 which is its flagship smartphone for the year 2012. Previously, it was stated that LG will launch the device in June. The superphone was originally unveiled at the Mobile World Congress in Barcelona in February alongside the HTC One X hit the Indian market back in May.
The Optimus 4X HD boasts an impressive feature set which includes a quad-core Nvidia Tegra 3 processor clocked at 1.5GHz, a 4.7-inch True HD IPS display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels and a pixel density of 313 pixels per inch, a 8-megapixel camera which can also shoot 1080p videos, a large 2,150 mAh battery (larger than the Samsung Galaxy S III, which has a 2,100 mAh battery) and 16GB of internal storage. The device runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich on top of which LG utilizes its new Optimus UI 3.0 which includes custom features like Quick Memo and Media Plex.
The LG Optimus 4X HD arrives in the country at a very interesting time as it now becomes the last of the quad-core behemoths to be launched in the country, two months after the HTC One X and almost a month-and-a-half after the Samsung Galaxy S III. Price-wise, however, the Optimus 4X HD competes very well with its Android competition, but with HTC and Samsung having the first movers advantage it remains to be seen how LG will market its flagship smartphone.
