Apple is scheduled to hold separate events for the iPhone and a smaller iPad, ATD
reports. This is contrary to what was being initially reported that
Apple would launch both the next generation iPhone and the so-called
iPad Mini at an event on September 12.
Apparently Apple does not want any of its own products to share
headlines with the iPhone and make its customers to choose between two
Apple products to buy.The iPhone 5 is expected to introduce a new design and a bigger display, which has been long pending. Chatter and alleged photos of the iPhone 5 have already sent Apple’s stock soaring to record highs. The iPad Mini, which is likely to sport a 7.85-inch display, could be priced aggressively under $300. Analysts expect the iPad Mini to be a blockbuster product for Apple and would cement its domination in the tablet market.
Apple has not sent out invites for either event yet and does not comment on unannounced products or market rumors and speculation.
