Jolla to run Android apps: Report

Jolla, a start-up founded by ex-Nokia MeeGo members has been making waves as it intends to rekindle the magic of the MeeGo OS, by creating new hardware for it. But in this competitive environment it’s hard to fathom that a new OS will stand a chance up against the might of Android and iOS, but today if a report by FoneArena is to believed, the OS just got a mighty boost in the form of support for Android applications.
Apart from support for Android apps, the OS will support apps written in HTML 5 and QT. According to the report, the first Jolla phone might even sport a 3.5-inch display, something that is touted by iPhone loyalists as the perfect display size. If that happens it will be very interesting see, if Jolla manages to pull-off a successful device as the world is going big on 4 plus inch display, which even includes the rumored iPhone 5.
