Samsung announces Galaxy S Duos, a Dual-SIM Android smartphone

Samsung has announced the Galaxy S Duos, which people familiar with Samsung’s complex product naming system would recognize as a Dual-SIM Android smartphone. The Galaxy S Duos shares its design cues with the Galaxy S III but that’s where all similarities end. We are looking at a smartphone with a 1GHz single-core processor, a 4-inch WVGA display and a 5-megapixel rear camera. Unlike other passive Dual-SIM phones, the Galaxy S Duos keeps both the SIM cards active, which means users will be able to get a call waiting alert from one SIM while talking on the other. It runs on Android 4.0 ICS. Read on for detailed specifications.
