Micromax to launch A100 phablet with 5-inch display, available online for Rs 9,999

Micromax has been cranking out Android smartphones lately with some boasting insanely huge batteries while others offering dual-SIM card support with impressive specs at sub-Rs 10,000 price points. The Indian handset vendor is aiming to set new benchmarks by offering an Android smartphone with a massive 5-inch display, the A100, which is now listed on HomeShop18 for Rs 9,999.
The Micromax A100 is unique device as it flaunts a gargantuan 5-inch display which puts it the phablet category like the Samsung Galaxy Note and the Spice Horizon. The device was previously leaked and information regarding its specs were sketchy. However according to the HomeShop18 listing page the device will have a 5-megapixel camera, dual-SIM capabilities, 4GB of internal memory, 32GB memory card slot, a 2,000 mAh battery, and it will run on Android 4.0 Ice cream Sandwich.
As of now there is no information regarding its processor spec or RAM, however we will not be surprised if it sports a dual-core chipset considering the Superfone A90 also has one.
