Philips launches a slew of home entertainment products in India

Philips has launched a slew of new home entertainment products in India that include home theater solutions, iPod Docks, MP3 players and Headphones.
Starting with the home theater solutions, Philips has launched three new products in this space including the HTS25 family, HTS35 family and the HTS65 family of home theaters.
The HTS25 sports an array of compact speakers with dolby digital surround enabled. Both the home theater set ups in the HTS25 family feature 300Watts of RMS power and can play DVDs, VCDs, CDs and also from USB sources. They cost Rs 9,890.
The HTS35 family of home-theaters is being pushed as a more premium offering and allow users to upgrade their speaker set-up at a later date. The speakers have exposed drivers for a more open sound and it can even upscale DVDs to 1080p resolutions via a HDMI connection. It also comes with an EasyLink feature that enables the user to control HDMI CEC devices via a single remote. The HTS35 family of home theaters start at Rs 10,890.
Finally, the HTS65 series of home theaters is the top of the line home theater solution offered by Philips. It features 3D angles speakers for better stereo imaging and an overall improved surround sound experience. It can also play from a myriad of sources including DVDs, VCDs, CDs, USB and also features a HDMI connection for upscaling content to 1080p. Like the HTS35, it also comes with an Easy Link controller to control all HDMI CEC devices from a single remote. It starts at Rs 20,990.
Apart from home theaters, Philips has also launched the GoGear MP3/MP4 players. Philips has introduced two models – the GoGear SoundDot and the GoGear SA060. The GoGear SoundDot is priced at Rs 1,599 and the the GoGear SA060 is priced at 5,999. The GoGear SA060 notably features a 3.2-inc HVGA display for video supports audio formats like FLAC and APE. It is primarily a touchscreen controlled player and is available in two memory variants of 4GB and 8GB.
As far as the iPod docks are concerned, Philips has launched as many as five iPod docks and some models even support Android smartphones. Its premium dock is the DS9800W and supports features like AirPlay and has natural stereo separation thanks to its soundsphere technology that facilitates two separate speaker modules. It costs Rs 65,990.
The AS111 is another dock but interestingly, it can even play and charge music through Android smartphones and auto-synchronizes its clocks with the smartphone. It even comes with Songbird and sync music between a PC and a phone. It costs Rs 5,999.
Besides these two docks Philips has also launched the AJ3270D for Rs 3,999, the AJ7030D for Rs 6,490 and the DS1150 for Rs 5,999.
Adding to its kitty of audio products, Philips has launched the O’Neal headphones that includes two models – the Bend and the Stretch. The Bend sports 30mm drivers for high quality sound and features a cable stress relief that provides for tangle free wires. The Bend series of headphones feature two models – SHO 4200 that cost Rs 3,499 and the SHO 4205 that comes with a mic and costs Rs 3,999.
Another line of headphones launched as a part of the O’Neal range of headphones includes the Stretch series of headphones. The Stretch series of headphones include 40mm drivers, dynamic bass, an universal mic, cable stretch relief technology, soft noise isolating ear cushions and reinforced connectors. The Stretch series includes two products – the SHO 9560 that costs Rs 4,499 and the SHO 9565 that costs Rs 4,999.
