Sony launches the RX 100 point and shoot camera in India for Rs 34,990

Sony has launched the RX100 point and shoot camera in India for Rs 34,990. The RX100 is the company’s flagship point and shoot and it is meant to take on the Canon S100. The RX100 features a 20.2-megapixel Exhumer CMOS sensor, a f/1.9 aperture with a 28mm lens, the latest generation bionz sensor and an ISO range between 125-6400. It can even lock-in an auto focus in 0.13 seconds in bright situations and 0.23 seconds in dim lighting.
The camera borrows a number of features from the higher-end Sony Alpha DSLR cameras and shoot video at 1080p at 50 frames per second. Additionally, the camera also features e Auto Portrait Framing, Clear Zoom technology, Sweep Panorama and photo creativity guides.
The lens on the RX100 has been designed in partnership with Carl Zeiss and it features a T-coating to reduce ghosting and lens flares. Apart from this, it also has seven aperture blades for a circular bokeh.
