Asus is planning on launching the Padfone and the Transformer Pad TF330T in India next week states a report by FoneArena.
We originally saw the Padfone concept at Computex in 2011, but the device only hit the shelves in the US earlier this year.
The Padfone basically houses a phone inside a massive tablet, with all the internals being inside the phone segment. When the user attaches the phone element to the tablet, it turns into a full functional Android tablet or vice versa.
The Transformer Pad TF300T was originally unveiled at CES earlier in the year, however Asus is only now planning to launch the tablet in India. Previously, Asus had launched the Transformer Prime tablet which became the first quad-core tablet in the country powered by the Nvidia Tegra 3 SoC. The Transformer Pad TF300T will boast comparable specs with the Transformer Prime with minor build trade-offs for a more affordable price point.
