Mercury has launched the MTab 7 in India for Rs 6,499. The tablet runs on Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich and features a 7-inch capacitive display, and is powered via an ARM Cortex A8 processor clocked at 1.2GHz. It also features 512 MB of RAM, and 4GB of internal memory.
Additionally, the tablet sports s a HDMI port, a USB port that also supports 3G dongles, a 0.3-megapixel camera and a microSD card slot. It weighs 300 grams.
Looking at the specs, the MTab7 does not look like a very high-end product. While Mercury claims it to be the best-in-class product, the blunt truth is that products like the WickedLeak Wammy Desire provide features like an ARM Cortex A9 dual-core processor, 1GB of RAM, long battery life and run on Android Jelly Bean.
