Many of our readers have been pinging us with the iPhone 5 pricing and we have been hearing the same prices from our sources too. But we had been waiting for some sort of official confirmation about the same before reporting it. And now we seem to have it, courtesy Redington, one of Apple’s two distribution partners in India. As expected, the iPhone 5 will start from Rs 45,500 for the 16GB version, Rs 52,500 for 32GB and Rs 59,500 for 64GB.
Apple’s other distribution partner today announced that the iPhone 5 will be available across India from November 2. The photos here might be of the older generation iPhone, but we are quite certain these are just placeholder photos.
We are also hearing that Airtel and Aircel might just announce reverse subsidy plans for the iPhone 5 just like they did for the iPhone 4S last year. We will have the details with us in the next few days.
