Over the last few weeks we at BGR India have exclusive reported about the iPhone 5 launch and the availability of nano-SIMs. Today, Telecom Talk is reporting that Vodafone, Airtel and MTNL will have nano-SIMs available in Mumbai ahead of the iPhone 5 launch,
which we believe will happen on October 26.
According to the report Vodafone India will be providing nano-SIMs across all the circles under its SIM exchange program. Users will not incur additional costs for nano-SIMs, as they will be able to readily exchange their standard SIMs for nano-SIMs.
Like wise MTNL has also stated that the nano-SIMs will be available in Mumbai in the next three to four days under its SIM exchange program. Airtel has also confirmed that the nano-SIMs will be available commercially.
Apart from this, it’s also worth noting that nano-SIM cutters have also started popping up in countries like China. Theoretically, these SIM cutters should also be coming soon to India.
