Angry Birds Star Wars now available on iPhone, iPad and Android

Rovio’s latest game Angry Birds Star Wars is now available on the Apple App Store, and the Google Play store for iOS and Android devices. The game was co-developed by Rovio, the creators of the Angry Birds games and LucasArt, the gaming arm of George
Lucas’s LucasFlims that produced the Star Wars movies.
The game blends the well-known mechanics and gameplay elements of the Angry Birds franchise with a Star Wars twist. Players will encounter their favorite Star Wars characters from the original trilogy like Luke Skywalker, Han Solo, Princess Leia, Darth Vader and Chewbacca. These characters are actually birds in a game with a Star Wars treatment.
The characters will also some unique abilities of their own. For instance Luke Skywalker has a lightsaber that cuts through enemies and Han Solo has his signature blaster pistol. Additionally, as the gameplay takes place both on space and on gravity laden planets, the game actually marries the gameplay mechanics of both the original Angry Birds game and Angry Birds Space that was introduced earlier this year.

As it is based on the original trilogy, the game takes the player to all the familiar planets that include the desert planet of Tatooine, the Ice planet of Hoth. The game actually starts exactly where the first movie starts with the Imperial Warship chasing Princess Leia and then the player is thrown on Tatooine.
The game is available for Rs 55 for the iPhone and the HD version for the iPad costs Rs 170. At the time of writing this post for some strange reason we have been unable to see Angry Birds Star Wars on the Google Play store, so we will update the post with the Android price and download link for the game.
Update: There are two versions of the game for Android. A standard free version and a HD version designed for tablets which costs Rs 163.
