Google Chrome for Windows to consume less battery with new update

Google has released a new update for Chrome, which enables GPU accelerated video decoding on Windows. This in turn means that the battery consumption of the notebook would go down significantly while using Chrome on the
go. Google claims that in its tests the battery consumption of Chrome went down by as much as 25 percent.
Google has further tuned Chrome’s setting menu. According to Google, users will find it much easier to view and control website permissions for geolocations, pop-ups and camera and microphone access. Instead of diving into the settings menu, these features can now be accessed from the page lock button in the Omnibar. Besides this, Google has also added option to send a ‘do not track’ request to web sites and web services.
