Samsung Galaxy Camera is now up for pre-order

Back in October Samsung had announced that it will be bringing the Samsung Galaxy Camera to India near Diwali time. Now, the Galaxy Camera is up for pre-order on the Samsung India online store. Customers can pre-order it for Rs 3,000 from the company’s online store. As always,
the final price of the Android camera hasn’t been revealed, yet.
The Galaxy Camera is an Android 4.1 based camera, which has a 16-megapixel sensor, with 21x optical zoom and has 4.8-inch S-LCD display with a resolution of 1280×720 pixels. Notably the camera is also powered by the same quad-core Exynos processor used in the Galaxy S III. Other features of the camera include micro-SD card support and microSIM support for 3G connectivity.
Since it is Android based, users will have access to a plethora of photo editing apps via the Google Play store. Samsung also adds a number of photography centric apps like Best group pose and Smart pro.
Interestingly, as Samsung releases the Galaxy Camera, Nikon already offers the CoolPix S800C, which also is an Android based camera for Rs 20,950. We expect the Galaxy Camera to cost more because it has superior specs than the CoolPix S800c. As far the CoolPix S800C is concerned it also has a 16-megapixel sensor, but it falls short with only 10x Optical zoom, an older version of Android and a smaller 3.5-inch display.
