Google revamps iOS search app

Google has updated its search application for iOS devices which include the iPhone, iPod touch and iPad.  The new app offers a completely redesigned interface that gives users faster results, full-screen image search, and a simple way to access all Google apps in one place.
Some of the optimizations include improved autocompletion of search suggestions, faster loading of pages and multitasking between search and webpages via slide-in panels. One can even use these slide-in panels to switch between search modes such as image search and places. Google has even made finding text within a webpage easier with the addition of a magnifying glass tool added in the tool bar.
The image search in particular has been paid a lot of attention, as with this new update Google presents the images in a high resolution grid. One can even tap and hold on the images to add them to either the camera roll, or wallpaper or to share the image.
As mentioned above, this app makes it very easy to access all Google applications from one interface. Through this UI one can access all Google web apps or native iOS apps if they are installed. And all these products can be accessed from a singular Google login. On the whole, this is a very impressive update which not only brings a clean and intuitive UI to table, but also adds a lot of web browser like functionality.
